It doesn’t have to be only in one place. Another good idea with backsplashes is to have one on either side of the kitchen if it is a large room. If it is going to make the kitchen look uneven with one picture on one side and nothing on the other side then have another one done opposite, but if you think it looks fine then there is no reason for you to add another one.
